Hackers, especially the bar area, is a beautiful place, not just for the lovely wood interior and interesting murals, but for the delicious food. My husband and I go there frequently. The navy bean soup is savory and delicious, with smoky ham flavor and a hearty taste like my grandma used to make. My husband is partial to the saurkraut balls, which he says are some of the best in Akron. They have awesome specials as well, but no matter how many things I like about their menu, it's the salmon salad that I absolutely love. At $10, you can't find a better value for a salad like this one, with baby spinach, a large portion of well-seasoned and fresh tasting salmon, mandarin oranges, slivered almonds, and a delectable Asian sesame dressing that is both sweet and tangy. Hacker's also has awesome burgers, steaks, pizza, and more, with a nice selection of wines and spirits to choose from as well.
